2012 Season

Final record of 23-32.

Big East Conference record is 9-18.

GVZ's wins in 2012 actually came against teams with an overall winning record: 433-421, a .507 winning percentage. It wasn't enough, and WVU will have a different coach in 2013.

Notable events:

• Lost to Villanova 26-11, gave up 17 runs in the fifth inning.
• Some "quality losses": Manhattan (1-14), Akron (5-12), UConn (7-11), and Morehead State (13-11)
• Earlier this season three of four losses on a weekend road trip were games shortened by the mercy rule at GVZ's request.
